SubPlayer is a subtitle search, download, and viewer app that respects your privacy. This privacy policy explains our approach to user data.
SubPlayer does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information or user data. We do not require an account to use the app.
When you search for subtitles, your search query is sent to the OpenSubtitles API (opensubtitles.com) to retrieve results. No personal information is included in these requests. Please refer to OpenSubtitles' privacy policy for information on how they handle API requests.
Downloaded subtitle files and any preferences you set in the app (such as font size and subtitle position) are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to external servers.
SubPlayer uses Firebase Analytics (Google) to collect anonymous usage data. This helps us understand how the app is used and improve the experience. The data collected includes:
• App interactions (e.g. searches performed, subtitles downloaded, features used)
• Device type (iPhone, iPad, or Mac)
• App version and session information
This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally. No advertising tracking is performed. You can opt out of analytics collection through your device's privacy settings. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
SubPlayer does not collect any personal data from users of any age.
