Secure Video Converter is a privacy-first video processing app. This privacy policy explains our approach to your data.
Secure Video Converter does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information or user data. All video processing happens entirely on your device. The only exception is the optional feedback form described below, which sends nothing unless you choose to write a message and tap Send.
All format conversion, compression, trimming, merging, resizing, GIF creation, audio extraction, and audio-to-video operations are performed locally on your device. Your video and audio files never leave your device and are never uploaded to any servers.
When you pick a video from your photo library, iOS shares only the item you select — the app is never granted access to your library as a whole. Permission to add to your photo library is requested only when you tap "Save to Photos", and is used solely to write that finished file. Secure Video Converter never reads, browses, or modifies your existing photos or videos.
The app includes an optional feedback form. If you choose to use it, the message you write is sent to us, along with an email address if you choose to provide one (so we can reply), plus the app version and platform so we can reproduce the issue. Nothing else is sent: no video or audio files, no device identifiers, no location, and no account information. If you never open the form, nothing is ever transmitted.
We do not use any analytics services, tracking tools, or third-party services that collect user information. This includes:
• No Google Analytics
• No advertising tracking
• No usage statistics
• No crash reporting that includes personal data
If you allow notifications, Secure Video Converter uses them only to tell you locally when a conversion has finished. These notifications are generated on your device and are never sent through any server.
Secure Video Converter offers an optional one-time in-app purchase (Secure Video Pro) to unlock unlimited batch processing. All purchases are handled entirely by Apple via the App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information.
Secure Video Converter does not integrate with any third-party services or APIs that would access your data. The app bundles open-source media libraries (including FFmpeg, libvpx, LAME, and others listed in the app's Licenses screen), but these run entirely on your device and do not transmit anything.
Any preferences you set in the app are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to external servers. Files created while converting are kept in the app's temporary storage and removed automatically. Processed video files are only saved to locations you explicitly choose.
Because we do not collect any data, Secure Video Converter is safe for users of all ages, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; the only way to send us anything at all is the optional feedback form.
